McDonald's Goes Gay in French TV Commercial
McDonald's recently launched their new ad campaign "Come As You Are" advertising campaign in France with this television commercial. It's a fairly progressive and touching ad. And, unfortunately, it's one we're not likely to see replicated for U.S. markets any time soon.
Of course, the "aww" factor of this commercial is diminished slightly by the awkward conclusion. There's a cliffhanger ending! Is this kid about to come out to his dad over a Royale with Cheese? It would be a little more heartwarming if the takeaway here was that McDonald's accepts you, even if you're afraid your dad won't.
