YouTube Taking on Cable with New Channel Additions
YouTube has declared war on cable companies, which has been rumored for some time now. In a report by WSJ, YouTube is adding several dozen new channel listings to it's ranks, some by many familiar names from Hollywood. Some of the names you and I will immediately recognize are Madonna, Ashton Kutcher, and Amy Poehler. Some of the channels you'll recognize are ones from Reuters.com, The Onion News Network and WWE.
YouTube said that the channels will start to launch next month, and continue coming online over the next year or so. The goal of the channels coming to YouTube is to “[give] you more reasons to keep coming back again and again”. So far the list below is a large one, and no doubt will continue to grow as they become more popular. The channels will be available to view online where ever YouTube is accessible.
